Anelli

Gauje

Inspired by Arte Povera artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, who uses everyday objects and industrial materials to create a dialogue between art and everyday life, Anelli features a motif of alternating rings woven from mohair plied with silk wool and a combination of wool and cotton yarns.

This collection elevates textiles to living art. Inspired by Arte Povera, a Post-War Italian art movement that used simple materials to create works of artistic expression, each rug is an homage to these visionary artists—transcending the boundaries between art and nature, artist and artisan.

The Atelier collection is a series of limited-edition pieces created and designed by Sylvie Johnson and the Merida team.

Living Art

Arte Povera evolved a new visual language that was experiential, ever-changing, and alive to the senses. Each Atelier rug is an expression of living art, a one-of-a-kind textile woven by artisans and made to be touched.
