Mario and Marisa Merz, partners in life and collaborators in art, created works that blended sculpture and architecture, nature and technology. Marsh features a motif of reeds or branches, woven from a blend of felted wools, cotton and alpaca merino with highlights of silk wool and mouliné yarn.
Inspired by the Italian movement of the 1960s, Arte Povera is a meditation on voice—how ordinary materials become expressive through care, intention, and collaboration. Created with Merida Studio, the series reflects Sylvie Johnson’s belief that meaning is never fixed: each limited-edition piece is an evolving conversation between artist, material, and maker. Beauty is found not only in the final form, but in the act of making itself.
