Using rugs that display geometric and organic shapes, this exhibition presents Sylvie Johnson’s textile pieces as thresholds to observe and traverse as gateways to new ideas. Portals aims to introduce Johnson’s sensorial language in her work through architectural engagement, textures, light, and shadow. It examines how one perceives the textile medium through its conceptual depth, physical nature, and blurred boundaries within art and design.
