Arte Povera artist Alberto Burri is renowned for his series of works from discarded burlap sacks, which were sewn together and stretched to create a fractured sculptural canvas. Frammento interprets Burri’s textural assemblage with a tonal contrast of six different wools, linen and mouliné yarn for an art-inspired centerpiece.
This collection elevates textiles to living art. Inspired by Arte Povera, a Post-War Italian art movement that used simple materials to create works of artistic expression, each rug is an homage to these visionary artists—transcending the boundaries between art and nature, artist and artisan.
The Atelier collection is a series of limited-edition pieces created and designed by Sylvie Johnson and the Merida team.
