In Perception of Light, Sylvie Johnson reflects on her lifelong fascination with light and shadow—not just as visual phenomena, but as forces that shape perception, emotion, and self-understanding. Each piece in the series is both personal and contemplative, capturing how light transforms a textile across time: from morning to night, season to season, moment to moment. Created in close collaboration with Merida Studio, the limited-edition works trace Johnson’s evolving relationship with color and ma—a meditation on the quiet intervals between what is seen and what is felt.
